The University of Cambridge CRASSH Visiting Fellowships are full-time fellowships for at least nine weeks. It is a paid fellowship that offers generous benefits to all fellows. Visiting Fellows will receive round-trip economy airfare from their home institution to Cambridge, arranged according to the University’s travel guidelines. If a visa is necessary, CRASSH will also cover the full visa cost. Accommodation will also be provided, with CRASSH arranging single ensuite housing at Wolfson College. Similarly, to help with the living costs in the UK, Cambridge fellows will receive a subsistence allowance of £175 per week, which can be used for meals and local transportation. Hence, providing generous financial assistance.
Moreover, during their stay of the University of Cambridge CRASSH Visiting Fellowships, each fellow will be provided with desk space and computer access, along with full access to the University of Cambridge’s libraries, collections and academic events. All fellows will have the chance to collaborate and exchange ideas with researchers at CRASSH and across the university. This fellowship in UK is designed to strengthen global academic partnerships, with the hope that each visit will lead to long-term research collaborations and future exchanges.
The CRASSH Visiting Fellowships welcome applications from scholars across various disciplines, including anthropology, archaeology, art history, digital humanities, ecology, environmental studies, geography, history, philosophy, medical humanities, museum studies, sociology and science and technology studies. Each fellow will share their own research as part of this program. The Cambridge fellowship will be jointly hosted by CRASSH and the Legacies of Enslavement Initiative.
