The Regional Data & Analytics Advisor leads the strategic development and implementation of child-focused data and analytics capabilities across the Regional Office. This role enables evidence-based decision-making, program adaptation, and accountability for impact. A key focus is operationalizing the Results for Children (RfC) framework by aligning data systems, processes, tools, and capacities to deliver measurable outcomes for the most vulnerable children.
The Advisor will process and synthesize Impact Measurement data (AIM/AIM Plus/ Grants impact measurements and Annual monitoring data) from Field Offices, applying advanced analytics to generate actionable insights. This role will establish and implement data governance mechanisms, build regional capacity, fosters data literacy, and promotes a culture of strategic learning and innovation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
DATA STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
- Lead the development of regionally contextualized data strategies aligned with Our Promise Phase 3 and Results for Children framework.
- Work with the RO and FOs to identify research priorities and lead regional research implementation; collaborate with Regional Strategy Advisor to map data needs that support FO strategy implementation.
- Translate global and regional data priorities into actionable regional plans.
DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
- Develop or adapt GC standardized tools and methodologies for data collection.
- Integrate and analyse data from multiple sources, including AIM. AIM plus, donor surveys and reporting.
- Support FOs with tools to ensure that grants designs/ baselines/ evaluations meet donor requirements and comply with industry quality standards.
DATA ANALYTICS CAPACITY BULDING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Deliver training and mentorship on data literacy and advanced analytics.
- Provide tailored technical support to Field Offices on RfC-aligned strategies.
EVIDENCE USE – REPORTING AND INSIGHTS
- Lead regional synthesis of AIM/ AIM plus and Monitoring data using descriptive, inferential, and predictive analytics where required.
- Produce evidence products (e.g., learning briefs, synthesis reports) for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with FO DME and sectorial teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COLLABORATION
- Align Field Office efforts with global frameworks and innovations.
- Engage with external partners to position World Vision as a leader in child-focused analytics.
- Work closely with the Regional External Engagement Group (EEG) to develop dissemination plan of the research findings, identify and map the key stakeholders, support in development of strategic communication materials.
Requirements include:
- A degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Statistics, Economics, International Development or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years working in data analytics, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), or results-based program design—preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- 30% for international travel
- Proficiency in English Language.
