Created in 1979, Action against Hunger is an international non -governmental organization that fights against world hunger. His charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non -discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded his identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger by prevention, detection and treatment of sub-nutrition, in particular during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
Under the supervision of the country director, your mission will be to develop and support the implementation of a advocacy strategy for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In this context, your responsibilities will be:
Develop and support the implementation of a humanitarian and communication advocacy strategy for the DRC
Conduct research activities in the DRC and support advocacy and global communication on hunger and conflicts
Act as a political focal point and provide direct support to the national office
Ensure an external representation in plea coordination forums and working groups in order to integrate ACF positions
You will manage a plea manager working at 50/50 with the forum of international non -governmental organizations (FONGI).
At your post, the priorities will be:
Conduct the analysis and write the monitoring of the Hunger and conflict project
Organize the dissemination of key results and messages at national, regional and international levels
Prepare an advocacy tour planned in the fall, in coordination with the headquarters and the ACF network

Profile :
You hold a bac+5 (master or master) in social sciences, international relations, international humanitarian law, policy, development studies or in a related field.
You have solid and demonstrated expertise (at least 3 years) in terms of humanitarian advocacy and/or representation, negotiation and influence of assistance policies.
You have proven experience in conducting research activities, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data sets. You have already worked with employees of Meal specialists for advocacy, managed with complex communication campaigns and teams in various cultural contexts.
You have an ability to understand a wide range of complex questions and to synthesize them strategically. You have a good knowledge of international law, principles and the humanitarian system, the transformer agenda, questions having an impact on humanitarian action.
You master Excel, data collection and analysis.
You have excellent skills in writing and oral communication in French and English.
Conditions of employment

Fixed -term contract for use of French law: 6 months until 12/31/2025
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on the experience, including 13th month
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non -French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Increase in basic salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly lifestyle: $ 974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and housing: support for travel and collective housing
Medical coverage: 100% of the management of health and repatriation insurance contributions, of your medical expenses and this up to 1 month after the end of your contract
Wage maintenance devices (illness, maternity, paternity)
Leaves and RNR: 25 days a year of CP and 20 RNR per year; Ticket support with ceiling to go to the chosen break area, and 215 euros of lump sum compensation per RNR
