Logistic Manager
Join LM International as a Chad Logistic Managerwhere you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that aid reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right condition and provide strategic guidance in Logistic to optimize organisational performance while fulfilling LM’s mission, vision, and core values.
You will provide support to the Country Director and the entire Country Management in aligning logistic with operational & program strategies, goals, and priorities.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Inventory and supply management: Ensure inventory management. Supervise inventory and track stored goods (receiving, storage, distribution). Prepare inventory reports and ensure that inventory data is up to date and properly documented. Manage internal requests and orders based on field needs.
- Transportation management: Organize and coordinate transportation for delivery. Manage the vehicle and IT fleet. Ensure the proper maintenance of logistics vehicles and equipment. Monitor routes, schedules, and transportation safety.
- Field operations support: Provide logistical support to field teams to ensure the smooth running of activities. Ensure that field operations are well supplied according to needs and priorities. Provide logistical support to bases
- Material resource management: Supervise the use and management of logistical equipment. Ensure the proper use and security of material resources. Prepare reports on equipment losses or damage.
- Coordination and communication: Work closely with other departments (Program, Finance, Human Resources, etc.) to ensure effective logistical coordination. Communicate regularly with logistics managers and other stakeholders within the organization to anticipate needs and respond to logistical challenges. Maintain smooth contact with local suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Logistics planning support: Contribute to the planning of logistics activities, taking into account humanitarian priorities and local constraints. Provide advice and recommendations on the logistics aspects of operations. Assist in the management of administrative documentation: reports, correspondence, contracts, etc.
Essential Requirements:
- Academic qualifications: Degree in logistics, operations management, humanitarian management or a relevant field.
- Professional experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in office software: Excel, Word, etc.
- Knowledge of supply chain and transport systems
- Fluency in French (written and spoken)
- Personal skills:
- Organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure in difficult contexts.
- Organization, rigor, and attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications:
- Leadership: Ability to manage teams, negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to reduce costs, improve delivery times and enhance operational workflows.
- Fluency in one or more local languages is an asset
