Applications are now open for the KYOTO University Amgen Scholars Internship 2026. Kyoto University is pleased to announce its participation in the 2026 Amgen Scholars Program in collaboration with the Amgen Foundation. The Amgen Scholars Program at Kyoto University aims to support domestic and international students who are allowed to study at Kyoto University as their vacation scholars. Kyoto University selects individuals from colleges and universities throughout Asia, including Eastern, Central, Southern, South-Eastern, and Western Asia, under this international scholars program. The applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in colleges or universities in Asia. The KYOTO University Amgen Scholars Program allows undergraduate students to pursue their scientific research projects at the world’s leading institute.
Under the KYOTO University Amgen Scholars Internship 2026 in Japan, the Amgen Scholars will be assigned to one of Kyoto University’s departments or interdisciplinary areas that traditionally support science and biotechnology research. These eligible areas can be Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Biotechnology, Biopsychology, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Immunology, Medical Pharmacology, Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Pathology, Physiological Psychology, Physiological Science, Statistics, Toxicology, and Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Scholars will be placed based on their interests and available spaces. All placements under the Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program will be full-time, which is approximately 40 hours per week.
The KYOTO University Amgen Scholars Internship 2026 is a fully funded program. The Amgen scholars program will cover every cost related to the program. It will provide an economy-class airline ticket to all the scholars. All Amgen Scholars will be accommodated in Kyoto. Moreover, they will also get a stipend of 180,000 yen to cover other relevant expenses for the whole duration of the program.
