Internship in the Communication Department – 6 months
The International Human Rights Federation (FIDH) is an NGO that brings together nearly 200 civil society organizations all over the world. Founded in 1922, it was engaged in the defense of fundamental freedoms and the universality of rights defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Independent of any government and recognized for its expertise, the FIDH works to strengthen the mechanisms for the protection of human rights and defenders by conducting plea campaigns, surveys on violations and legal actions. In all its activities, the FIDH incorporates a gender and anti-colonial approach. Its head office is located in Paris and its teams are present in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. The FIDH also has delegations to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the European Union in Brussels, the United Nations in Geneva and the African Union in Nairobi.
We recruit a: Intern in internal communication and social networks – 6 months
Your missions
The Communication Department brings together a benevolent team of 7 people. An opportunity to implement your skills within an international team, to serve a cause full of meaning: the defense of human rights alongside those who, on a daily basis, change the world concretely.
A / A support for digital communication
- Writing and publication on social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedinet Youtube in connection with the Digital Communication Managers and thematic and geographic offices
- Support for content creation (including video editing)
- Influencer identification
- Monitoring and evaluation of communication actions (monthly, specific) reporting
- Watch over the latest web trends and social networks
- Support in the implementation and monitoring of international communication campaigns and actions
- Support for the moderation of SIVH social networks (private messages, comments)
- Support for translations of content (French, English, Spanish)
- Uplines on the FIDH website
B / Internal communication support
- Help in the design, production and updating of our internal communication tools in the communication department (user -manage, graphic charter, presentations, reports, etc.)
- Analysis and production of monthly reports on the results of communication actions and campaigns
- Iconographic research
- Internal sharing of the activity of the department with other offices and member organizations
- Support for the organization of events
Profile sought
- You prepare a bac +4/5 in communication, international relations or other relevant fields.
- You have an excellent level in French or English + a good mastery of the other language (level B2 or C1). Knowledge of a third language (Arab, Spanish, Russian …) would be a plus,
- The digital world interests you particularly and you already have good mastery of the web and social networks.
- You show commitment, versatility, editorial, rigor and organization.
- You are committed and interested in news.
- You are in total agreement with the values at work of the International Secretariat of FIDH (professionalism, respect, commitment, equality, integrity, participation, daring), as well as with the fights carried by the FIDH for the defense of human rights of all, all over the world, explained in particular in its statutes and through its publications accessible from its website: www.fidh.org.
Terms and Terms:
- Desired start: from September 2025 for 6 months
- Full -time internship (39 hours per week)
- Compulsory condition: have an internship agreement issued by a school in French law.
- Monthly gratuity of € 659.76. Dematerialized card of restaurant tickets with a facial value of € 9, 60 % supported by FIDH. Sustainable mobility package for home – work trips.
- 12 days of RTT over the period and acquisition of 2 days of paid leave per month
- The internship will take place at the FIDH headquarters in Paris and partly in teleworking.
