Research, teaching and pedagogy, civic participation, network building, and communication and dissemination are the five interconnected essential principles that serve as the foundation for our platforms and initiatives. The IIAS Asia in the World Fellowship 2026 in Netherlands, seeks to encourage a more circulatory and multi-centered process of knowledge creation and exchange in order to equip a new generation of academics to tackle today’s global issues in a multipolar world. Individuals from a wide range of fields are eligible to apply for the IIAS Asia World Fellowship 2026.
The IIAS Asia in the World Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded fellowship. The IIAS Asia fellowship in Europe. Fellows will get a stipend of €1250 per month during the residency in Leiden. Housing will also be provided in Leiden. Moreover, the fellows will get a one-time travel grant of up to €1000. The duration of this International Institute for Asian Studies fellowship is almost 12 months. The program is divided into three phases. In the first phase, the fellows will spend Six Months at IIAS in Leiden, the Netherlands; the second phase includes residency of three to Five Months at one of the Co-Hosting Institutes; and the third phase is Return to IIAS in Leiden.
