The purpose of the role

Plan International is looking for drivers to provide Al -Wasli services to our office in Amman. Business will be carried out during office working hours within the following time frame – 8 hours per day 5 days a week.

The main roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a trusted and experienced driver to provide a safe and effective transfer to employees between Amman and the governorates of Jordan as needed. The driver will ensure the transfer of all passengers safely and in time, while adhering to traffic laws and regulatory policies.

According to the plan’s policies and procedures, the job occupant is responsible for:

  • The transfer of employees safely to and from the camp, as well as to other specific sites, while ensuring adherence to appointments and safety at all times.
  • Check regularly designated vehicles daily to ensure that they are in good condition. Report any mechanical breakdowns, damage or maintenance needs for the supervisor immediately.
  • Commitment to all local traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring the safety of passengers and pedestrians. Keep a clean driving record.
  • Maintaining accurate and updated flight records, fuel records, and any other documents required through the specified official channels and means.
  • Keep the operations team permanently with the progress of the trip, any delays, or accidents.
  • Help in downloading and emptying supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Follow and adhere to all the policies and procedures of the organization related to leadership, transportation and safety.
  • Performing other tasks that may be assigned by the operations coordinator or the manager.
  • Responsible for gathering fleet data accurately in terms of miles and fuel.
  • Responsible for obtaining governmental and security permits and approvals when needed, and any official tasks assigned to them by the operations coordinator or term

Main relationships

  • Inside the international plan in Jordan: all employees
  • Outside the plan: visitors to the plan and the external stakeholders, such as the host community and external suppliers who deal with the plan employees in an official working relationship; And the officials of the ministry and the embassy

Profile summary

  1. Academic and professional qualifications

• A valid driver’s license: possession of a valid Jordanian driver’s license with a clean driving record (10 years or more).

Experience: Professional experience in leadership, preferably in the field of transferring individuals or working with NGOs.

• Knowledge of local roads: Knowledge of the road network between Amman and the camp, in addition to other sites as needed.

• Communication skills: an essential proficiency of the English language and fluency in the Arabic language.

• First aid certificate: recommended.

• Training courses in the field of safety and security: recommended.

Flexibility: Prepare to work with flexible hours of work, including early morning, evening, and weekends as needed.

• Completion of secondary or basic education successfully or any other equivalent certificate.

• He must have a general basic knowledge of all types of vehicles.

• Non -governing certificate.

• In valid examination for less than six months.
