Description of tasks
This is one of two positions that are part of the monitoring and fundraising work area. This work area has the central objective of ensuring income for the financial stability of the project. The Colombian PBI project receives financing from about 16 European and North American entities; The collection goal for 2025 – 2026 is around 750,000 euros.
Responsibilities of the person monitoring and collection coordinator of funds:
- Design and implement the annual fund collection strategy for the Colombia Project.
- Plan, develop and execute the strategy for resource management, including the search for new financing sources.
- Write a general financing proposal and accountability reports in Spanish and English.
- Formulation of specific projects and budgets in Spanish and English.
- Coordinate with the National Groups of GDP the presentation of applications and reports to the financing agencies.
- Represent PBI Colombia in front of the financatives; Participate in meetings and follow up with them.
- Participate in the international work collection work group to agree on global strategies and exchange good practices.
- Stay informed about the situation in Colombia and project activities.
- Systematization of data for monitoring activities and impact of PBI Colombia for accountability (planning, monitoring and evaluation)
- Monitor the progress and results of the financed projects, and regularly provides reports to interested parties.
- Participate in the monthly meetings of the Administration and Finance Committee, which plans and monitor budget execution.
- Coordinate with the financial team the institutional audits of donors, the financial control of the organization and authorization of payments.
- Represent the monitoring and finance area in the Assembly of the PBI Colombia project and in strategic decision making, providing the necessary financial information.
Profile and Essential Requirements
- 2 -year demonstrated experience in fundraising and project management (formulation, monitoring and justification) of cooperation agencies, foundations and others.
- Relevant university studies (international cooperation, international relations, communications, social sciences or related fields) or relevant experience in similar positions.
- Essential Professional Domain of Spanish and English in format read, written and spoken (mother tongue or higher studies).
- Knowledge about intersectional theory.
- Experience and knowledge in the writing of subsidies, use of logical framework, theory of changes and management of humanitarian and development projects.
- Knowledge of the principles of financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and information and present conclusions clearly and concisely.
- Professional domain of relevant programs (the entire Office package; knowledge of other programs will be valued).
- Planning capacity of the tasks of your area with great autonomy.
- High capacity to work in horizontal structures; Sense of responsibility, initiative, listening, empathy, and assessment of the collective process.
- Availability to actively support the deconstruction of privileges, inequalities and oppressions critically and constructively.
- Flexibility in the times dedicated to the service and ability to provide service under pressure, in situations of constant emergency and unforeseen to comply with the established deadlines.

Position conditions
This position will be located in Bogotá. The contract will be 2 years, expandable, with a test period of 3 months, a 42 -hour weekly day, and 25 days of vacation, plus the national holidays of Colombia.
- Salary: 4,650,000 COP net per month (13 annual payments).
- Family policy of 450,000 Cop per child per month.
