Expression of Interest | Anticipated Third-Party Monitoring and Accountability Initiative.

Are you a skilled South Sudanese professional passionate about strengthening health systems and making a lasting impact in your country?
HACOF South Sudan is bidding to implement a nationwide initiative focused on improving health sector performance, transparency, and service delivery through independent monitoring and data-driven engagement.
We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified, committed South Sudanese experts eager to contribute to meaningful change. These positions are not yet active but are part of an upcoming initiative. Candidates will be considered for recruitment upon successful project confirmation.
Play a direct role in improving healthcare access and accountability while influencing decision-making through data, evidence, and independent monitoring. We are assembling a diverse team of South Sudanese experts and specialists, and we invite expressions of interest from qualified professionals ready to lead and shape the future of the health sector.

Health Statistician:

Develops sampling strategies, analyzes TPM data, and guides methodological designs for surveys. Supports production of bulletins and reports with robust statistical insights. Leads statistical design, sampling, and data analysis across multiple health datasets.
• Design robust sampling strategies for household and facility surveys
• Conduct statistical analysis to derive insights from health and monitoring data
• Provide methodological guidance for survey design and tools
• Produce high-quality statistical summaries and visual outputs
• Utilize software such as R, SPSS, and STATA to drive evidence-based insights

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master’s in Statistics, Economics, or Public Health (10+ years with Master’s)
• 8+ years analyzing large-scale health survey datasets
• Demonstrated skills in STATA, SPSS, R, and advanced statistical methods
• Experience working in fragile or conflict-affected settings strongly preferred
