Administrative and logistics coordinator (F/M) – Central African Republic
Do you want to join an activist association and take concrete action for more social justice?
Médecins du Monde has been working for more than 40 years to treat the most vulnerable populations, denounce obstacles to access to care and sustainably evolve health policies.
In France and in nearly 30 countries, our actions are centered around six political battles:
- sexual and reproductive rights and health (including the right to abortion)
- migration, exile, rights and health
- risk reduction
- health environment
- rights and health system
- humanitarian spaces
In September 2020, the organization launched the Bouca project, in the Yadé region, with the objective of improving access to quality basic health care for populations affected by crises.
This project includes support for local health facilities (FOSA), increasing from 5 FOSA in 2020 to 9 in July 2023, including the Bouca district hospital. The support provided covers outpatient and secondary care, management of common illnesses, maternal and child care, vaccination, family planning, management of gender-based violence (GBV), as well as referral of cases requiring specialized care.
In November 2024, with the support of the RCA Humanitarian Fund, MdM-FR launched a new project in Batangafo, focused on the care of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and survivors of gender-based violence.
In accordance with its country strategy, which aims to intervene in the areas most exposed to crises, MdM has undertaken exploratory evaluation missions in the sub-prefecture of Markounda from 2021. These missions are regularly updated and have made it possible to build strong links with local administrative and health authorities, ensuring regular monitoring of the humanitarian needs of these areas.
The intervention strategy for the coming period provides for an increase in operational and financial volume, as well as geographical coverage.
The repositioning of Médecins du Monde as a central health player on the theme of GBV is also under development.
