Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Mission :
We are looking for an intern capable of supporting the development and implementation of projects within the Operations Department in Île-de-France, through the following missions:
Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Humanitarian Worker Protection Mechanism program, launched in 2024.
Contribute to the implementation of a rapid response mechanism intended to support humanitarian workers facing critical incidents.
Support the management and granting of “protection grants” covering in particular:
health costs for affected personnel and their loved ones
access to adapted psychological support for workers and their families legal costs linked to the emergency situation
material assistance to families in the event of death
The program is implemented on a global scale by a consortium made up of 4 international organizations.
Profile :
We are looking for a candidate who shares our commitment and who has the following qualities:
You have a Bac+3 and you are training in political science, international relations and/or human and social sciences.
You know how to analyze and produce summary documents.
You are responsive and able to move quickly from one activity and/or theme to another.
You listen, you know how to adapt your communication style and establish a relationship of trust with your interlocutors.
You are proficient in IT tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, etc.); mastery of WordPress and Elementor is an additional asset.
You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Terms of employment
Mandatory Condition: Have an internship agreement issued by a French educational establishment
Duration of the Internship: 6 months (based in Montreuil, 102 rue de Paris)
Desired Position Taken: 11/17/2025
Salary conditions:
Internship compensated at 4.57 euros net per hour (based on 35 hours per week). Weekly working time (38.75 hours).
Restaurant vouchers at 8EUR (60% covered by ACF).
Coverage of 50% of public transport costs.
Teleworking: ACF has a teleworking policy which governs activities requiring mandatory presence at headquarters, while allowing you to carry out part of your work remotely.
Regular presence at the Montreuil headquarters is therefore planned, according to a frequency defined with your manager.
Added to this are approximately three days per month dedicated to meetings and collective events.
Finally, during the first six weeks, presence two days per week is required to facilitate your integration into the team.
