Under the supervision of the chief. Project fee, the coordinator. Logistics is responsible for carrying out the following functions:
- Logistics operations coordination
- Coordinate all the logistics and administrative operations of the project, in particular he/she must:
- Coordinate with the technical team and management to assess the project needs
- Develop the project market plan
- Plan, execute and monitor all follow -ups with the market for market
- Ensure that the services and property required and delivered meet the specifications of the TOR
- Ensure that project materials or materials are safely stored
- Ensure that the materials or materials requisitioned by the technical team is delivered in time and instead of defined
- Ensure that invoices are paid in time
- Update all monitoring tools relating to the logistics and administrative operations of the project
- Periodic monitoring of stock inventory reports and the progress of logistics and administrative operations of the project
2. Team management
- Team management to ensure the delivery of the project according to the calendar
- Weekly, monthly and quarterly planning of activities
- Ensure on quality insurance
- Implementation of the risk management strategy (proactively identifying potential problems and developing solutions to respond)
- Establishment and monitoring of the project chronogram
3. Support to the chief of project
- Support the chief of project in project management and the follow -up of the field team
- Make sure that all team members include everyone’s objectives, expectations and roles.
- Organize training, workshops or mentoring opportunities for the continuous professional development of team members.
- Demonstrate an ethical behavior, integrity and commitment to the objectives of the project.
4. Commitment, connection and representation of stakeholders
- Effective management of communication with partners or stakeholders in the project
- Ensure the connection and creation of relations with other United Nations agencies (UN) and international non -governmental organizations (ONGI) with the aim of facilitating activities and improving the quality and relevance of information analysis.
- Participate in meetings with UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders, as needed
- Identify all stakeholders and partners concerned by the project, including beneficiaries, suppliers, local communities, government organizations
- Maintain regular and foreseeable communication to keep all informed parties of progress, challenges and changes.
- Keep up to date a precise documentation of all communications for future reference and transparency.
5. Monitoring and reporting
- Press the chief project.
- Regularly collect data on the progress of the project with all team leaders
- Continuously update the kpis dashboard
- Compare the progress made to planned objectives and milestones to identify any gap, delay or risk
- Prepare and disseminate periodic reports on the progress of the project to all the stakeholders and partners concerned.
- Keep complete documentation of all follow -up activities, and reports for future references, audits or analyzes.
6. GESTION YOU BUDGET
- Support budget management
- Regularly follow the actual expenses in relation to the budget and analyze the differences.
- Set up control mechanisms to minimize budget overruns and optimize the use of resources.
- Ensure effective purchase management
Formation
- A mastery preferably in business administration, business management, supply chain management, logistics, or any other related area is required
- A license with a combination of two additional years of relevant experience can be accepted in place of the master’s degree.

Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of logistics are required
- Prior work experience in Haiti is required
- An experience in the management of a team is required
- Experience in election management is an asset
- Professional experience with the United Nations or with any other international organization is an asset
Linguistic knowledge
- The mastery of French and Creole, both oral and written, is required.
- The mastery of English is an asset.
Organizational context – Haiti
UNOPS has been working in Haiti since 2004 with the Haitian government, other United Nations agencies and international organizations in order to support them in project management, supply and logistics services. In Haiti, UNOPS has supported the electoral process since 2005 through several projects focused on purchasing and logistics. These projects and associated activities contribute to the coordinated support of the United Nations for Haiti. The support manager for project management will be responsible for the coordination of logistics operations, as well as the management of the logistics and administrative team.
The Logistical Coordinator has a direct impact on the realization of the project results by helping the chief project. Project to respect the methods and project management strategies, to reduce risks, to reduce costs and to improve the quality and success rates.
